World War II Start to End Pearl Harbor Tour - Tour 8

One of the best tours to Pearl Harbor is the WWII Beginning to End tour. Your trip begins with hotel pick up in Waikiki and takes you to both the USS Arizona Visitors Center and Memorial as well as the USS Missouri Mighty Mo Battleship. The tour is entitled WWII Beginning to End because as documented in history the day the Arizona battleship was destroyed, December 7th, 1941 marked the United States entry into WWII and it was on the USS Missouri Battleship where Japanese signed surrender documents effectively ending the war. Touring both locations is a great way to get an up close historical lesson of WWII.

As you approach Pearl Harbor, your guide will deliver a riveting historical account of the events that led up to the Pearl Harbor attacks on December 7th, 1941. You will then be ushered into the theater to watch actual scenes from the Pearl Harbor attacks. After the video, you will board the Navy Shuttle Boat and venture out to the Arizona Memorial. Here you will be able to see the shrine room where the names of deceased sailors are etched on the marble wall. Look down through the clear water of the Pacific Ocean and view the sunken battleship below. Your Arizona tour will conclude with a 1 hour tour of the WWII Museum located inside the Arizona Visitors Center as well as a chance to purchase memorabilia from the WWII gift shop.

Then its off to the renowned USS Missouri Battleship off Ford Island. On this two hour tour, you will be able to travel through the decks of the battleship and view the table on which the Japanese signed their surrender documents to bring an end to WWII.

And your tours not over. After you conclude the Missouri portion, your guide will take you on a driving tour throughout the historic center of Honolulu and Punchbowl National Cemetery all along the way teaching you about Hawaiian history and culture. You will also pass by notable landmarks commemorating the life of our current President, Barack Obama.
