WWII Beginning to End (from Kauai) - Tour 8

Take a one-day inter island tour with Discover Hawaii Tours from Lihue, Kauai to Honolulu, Oahu and discover Pearl Harbor.  Join us on our WWII Beginning to End Tour sure to impart history, fun, and lots of sightseeing. Jet set on your short flight over to Honolulu and get ready to start your tour.  Once you meet up with your guide at the Honolulu Airport, you will be transported to Pearl Harbor for phenomenal tours of the USS Arizona and Missouri Battleships. 

Your first stop will be the USS Arizona Visitor’s center where you will start by viewing actual footage from the Pearl Harbor attacks on December 7th, 1941.  You will then be taken out to view USS Arizona Memorial and sunken battleship on the US Navy shuttle boat.  Once you arrive at the Arizona Memorial, you will have the chance to view the shrine room and see the names of the deceased etched on its back wall.  You will also be able to peer down through the ocean and discover the sunken USS Arizona battleship below.  After visiting the memorial and battleship, you will travel back to the visitor’s center for a tour of the WWII Museum and an opportunity to purchase souvenirs from the WWII gift shop. 

Once you finish your tour of the USS Arizona Battleship and memorial, your guide will take you out to Ford Island where you will tour the USS Missouri Battleship.  Explore the many decks of this famous battleship and view the table on which the Japanese signed surrender documents ending WWII.
